Moment makes great skis.  This ski is not an exception.  It is not my #1 favorite powder ski in the world.  It is not my #1 favorite ski in the world.  But it is a great go-to ski for all conditions.  When you wake up in the morning and you aren't quite sure what the day will bring, you can be certain that you will have fun and not have to limit what or where you ski because you brought the wrong ski.  This ski can kill quivers.

An entire ski lift was stolen from a ski resort on the Czech Republic's northern border. Lyzarsky Areal Parlament, as pictured here, had steel support structures, three posts, a pulley, and a 1 kilometer long cable stolen from the resort on May 7th.  Follow the link below for more information.

These bindings are comparable to a Mountain Bike with 6-7" of travel.

1. Weight. Just like a 6-7" Mountain Bike, these bindings are not light. Yeah, they are not the heaviest thing on the market, but they would never be considered lightweight by anyone's standards.

2. Uphill Performance. Just as a 6-7" Mountain Bike is not the best bike to climb long distances with, this binding is not the best uphill performing binding out there. It does go uphill. The kick bar could be slightly higher, the binding could pivot easier. It does lack a few features in the uphill department, but it still manages fairly well.

3. Downhill Performance. Just a 6-7" Mountain Bike this...

How do I describe the best ski I've ever skied? Where do I start? ... Fast.   That's where I'll start.  If you like a no-speed-limit-turn-only-when-something-you-can't-stomp-gets-in-your-way ski, then read on.

The recommended mounting point is as 828mm from the tail. As I tend to prefer, I mounted ~1 cm back at 819mm. Even though they have been my everyday ski for about a year, I still remember my first run. It wasn't love at first slide, but rather a nexus of what I wanted a ski to do and what the ski was capable of doing. The more I demanded, the more it performed.

This is a fairly stiff ski, but its rocker makes it very playful, allowing the ski to do everything from straightlining a couloir to nose-buttering a 540 off of a pillow.  As long as there is some sort of fresh snow, this ski will absolutely destroy it.  This ski makes powder skiing effortless.  This makes crud skiing more fun.  This makes groomer skiing...horrible.  Having the sidecut of the ski reverse gives the ski a far lesser swing-weight.  This makes the ski really fun to spin and flip with.  This really is a great backcountry jib ski.  The reverse sidecut with rocker also gives the ski very little tip to be deflected by wind buff and crud, allowing you to charge crud very easily.

"If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."  Seriously, this is one of the best 1 quiver skis on the market (for Utah, that is).  I have been saying this since day one.  There is something about the Armada JJ that keeps bringing me back.  No, it is not my #1 favorite powder ski on the market.  No, it is not my #1 favorite groomer ski on the market.  It is not my favorite crud basher.  It is not my favorite park ski.  But is is seriously one of the very few skis that no matter where I go or what I am skiing, I am confident that I will be able to have fun and ski aggressively.

I noticed today that Charles Gagnier recently signed with RAMP skis.  I hadn't heard or seen very much from Charles in a long time, so I got curious about what he has been up to.  Not only has he been selected for the 2014 Canadian Olympic Slopestyle Team, but he has been learning some of the craziest tricks I have ever seen.  I wouldn't be surprised if he is teaching himself something knew every day.

I know that this edit was released a few months ago, but I am posting it now anyway.  It has been a long time since I have watched an edit and had to rewind it multiple times just to figure out what I was looking at.  This is one of those edits. Enjoy.

My brother and I always had this crazy idea to build skis with wheels inset in them. The idea was, that having the flex and turning ability of a ski would allow us to train in the summer.  Our idea never came to fruition.  But it looks like Woodward at Tahoe has found a way to make it work.  Check out the video and the sourcelink below:

Yeah, this is almost 1 year late, but it was just released a few months ago and hasn't had as much exposure as it deserves.  Last season the Wasatch Mountains in Utah received record amounts of snow.  Unfortunately there won't be any snow for June skiing this year, but hopefully this video will remind you to start praying for snow next season... now.
