These first few pictures are from a pillow that Jeff and I found in LCC.  It got pretty much demolished.

The next set are from a cliff band we found the next day also in LCC.

This very last photo is from today.  It is a screenshot of a video from my GoPro.  This chute is called death chute.  The cliff on the entrance has some sketchy teeth on it.  After landing below this drop, I ended up clipping my ski on the rock on the right side of this photo, whch sent me into a double tomahawk.  My skis didn't come off and I was able to ski out of it, but it was somewhat scary for sure.  Video from this will be in my next update.

This footage is just from a day at Snowbird UT testing out my new GoPro HD Camera and Chest Mount. I am trying to decide still how much I like the chest mount as compared to the helmet mount. It does allow you to see your skis and the horizon at the same time easier, but also looks weird whenever your arms raise above the level of the camera (dropping a cliff, etc.).

Footage isn't great, mostly because I was testing the camera as well as frame rates. The HD on this camera looks awesome though for sure!

My home network wasn't working when I threw this video together and there were about 10 random songs on my computer, I decided this one was as good as any. If anyone has some cool music that I could throw in an edit sometime let me know, would love some spanish guitar.

I have been using the Chest Mount from GoPro to take this video, mainly because I am afraid that the camera will fall off of my helmet.  So, although it isn't true point of view, it does give some great shots.

These first two shots are from our second run of the day on January 19th, 2010.  We had some awesome snow on Baldy right after it opened.  15 inches fresh.  If you have never gotten a face shot before, this is a great example of what it fels like just a second before you get pummeled by fresh snow :)

This last picture is a nice drop we hit up around the end of the day. I was demoing some Lib Tech NAS Pow Recurve skis.  Watch for a review on these skis laster this week.  This shot was taken about 1/3 of the way through the entire air time.  Awesome cliff, awesome chute, awesome landing.  Good times!

On Saturday Trevor Evans (Clandestino Films) and I rode Park City almost all day.   The new terrain park manager Jeremy Cooper is doing a great job already.   2 20-foot jumps, 3 street rails, and 5 other jibs on opening day is almost unprecedented here in Utah.  If this is an indicator of things to come this season, it is time to get stoked!

Sorry for the lack of pictures from today, the park was so crowded and the sky was overcast, so shooting video/pictures was somewhat pointless.  Keep your eyes open for something better as we get closer to Thanksgiving.

The rails, boxes, and landing (made out of very thick carpet) are all sprayed as often as needed with soapy water in order to keep them slick enough to slide.  Keep in mind, rollers and carpet don't feel like snow, so the spray is needed often and helps a lot.

Skiers and snowboarders alike have the opportunity to progress from a smaller flat box, up to a handrail style down-flat box.  There are tons of rails everywhere that can be switched out to keep the experience fresh for everyone.  One day you might go hit boxes, and the next day a kink handrail may be set up.  This lets skiers progress at their own pace and have a lot of fun.

The entire warehouse has a really "urban" feel to it, old campers are dumped behind in runs.  A trolley makes a great viewing area for spectators, and graffiti on every wall adds to the urban ambiance.  With rap and reggae music over the loudspeakers sometimes you forget that you are in the quite town of Ogden.

I took my 2007/2008 Scott P3 skis.  They were a little long for the roller set up, but they worked very well.  I forgot to put the softer plate onto my Dalbello Krypton Pro's so they were a little stiff, but they are an awesome boot and I love using them. We were both a little rusty after an entire summer of not jibbing.  We need to get up to The Jibyard more often!
