No More Edits From this Winter

I know that I promised a March and an April edit...

but my RAID 5 drive failed and I lost all of my ski footage from March-May including but not limited to: 30 foot cliffs, misty flips, and double tomahawks in death chute.

Hopefully I can get some cool Mountain Bike and Wakeboarding stuff up here..

man..i am bummed

I am not sure why, but it was hard to find time to edit this season. I have a bit of footage, so over the next few weeks I will be releasing a few edits of me and my friends skiing in Utah. This entire edit was shot with a GoPro HD Hero camera. They are awesome little camera's, I highly suggest you pick one up for yourself.

It has been a while since I have edited, but I threw this together in one afternoon. It turned out fairly well. After watching the footage from February, I think I might be liking the helmet footage more than the chest mounted camera footage. What do you think?

There is a lot more footage to come over the next few weeks, so sit back, grab your favorite drink, and enjoy!

I didn't stay as organized as I wanted to this winter so I am in the middle of compiling footage before making an edit. I will post some pictures below to hold you through until then. This is a video of Brady Newton at Snowbird. He only got to ski weekends for the most of the year, due to a new job, but he still absolutely destroyed it. Brady Newton has been getting hyphy with Adobe Premiere, so check out a few more edits from him over the course of the next few weeks. I have just finished posting a review about the 2009/2010 Volkl Chopsticks. Bottom Line: Although they are not the worst powder ski I have ever used, I did have some enjoyable moments on them, they leave a lot to be desired. Check out the review here!

Lots of Snow

The mountain weather has changed a lot in the last week. From February 25th through March 6th we have had quite a bit of snow roll into the Wasatch Mountains. I have some great helmet camera footage that I am going to post as soon as I run through all of it, but in the meantime, here are some pictures from this last week!

These first few pictures are from a pillow that Jeff and I found in LCC. It got pretty much demolished.

This very last photo is from today. It is a screenshot of a video from my GoPro. This chute is called death chute. The cliff on the entrance has some sketchy teeth on it. After landing below this drop, I ended up clipping my ski on the rock on the right side of this photo, whch sent me into a double tomahawk. My skis didn't come off and I was able to ski out of it, but it was somewhat scary for sure. Video from this will be in my next update.
