2008/2009 Moment Bibby Pro - 186 - Review

Bottom Line:  The 186 Bibby is one of the most fun skis I had the opportunity to ski on this year. It is a medium flex ski (slightly softer than the Rossignol S6). It carves on hard pack fine, but where it really shines is in pow. This thing has enough rocker to really surf around, and its flex is really playful. This is a true backcountry jib ski. If you want to add rocker to your lineup, Have a ski that is still versatile, A ski that you can jump with and land switch in pow with. Check out the bibby 186 for sure!

Pros: Just because a ski is rocker ed doesn't mean that it cannot carve on hard snow, and this ski proves it!  I had a lot of fun with this ski in powder.  It really loves to surf, but its regular sidecut allows it to ski slightly more traditionally than some rockered skis on the market.

Cons:  Too soft to charge really hard with.  This ski does still charge well.

UPDATE:  I got the opportunity to ski this ski again this year.  It looks like after the ski has been skied on too many times it gets really soft.  I skied it in much tougher conditions than last time, and the ski wasn't very much fun at all!
Here is a small video clip.  It is a teaser for a new edit that Clandestino Films was about to release.   The skiing in this clip is done exclusively on the 2008/2009 Moment Bibby Pro - 186.
