2008/2009 Rossignol S6 - 186 - Review
Bottom Line: These skis are very versatile. They are fairly lightweight for their size. 110mm underfoot lets them rock on any terrain. I wish that they were a tad stiffer for really charging hard in crud though. For not being rockered they ski pow amazingly well. They are stable at moderate to high speeds, though they don't charge chopped/crud as hard as other skis in this category. They Turn well on hardpack. These are the exact same ski as the Rossignol Steeze and previous versions of the Rossignol S6. They are also the same as the Telemark Rossignol Ravyn.
Pros: Most fat skis feel really planky when you aren't in powder, these feel more like skis when you aren't in powder. So how do they feel in the snow they were made for? They are awesome. I have used them in some super deep days at Alta and they float really well. . I 100% recommend this ski to everyone who wants a nice powder ski that can still ski the rest of the mountain well. Even if you don't use chairs, this ski would be awesome for touring because the WRS core makes it so light. The Twin tip makes it rad for landing switch in powder.
Cons: The softer tail makes them not charge as hard in crud/choppy snow. They aren't rockered which makes them float well, but not surf well.
